Iconic Maine Amusement & Water Park Sets Official 2025 Opening Dates

For many New England families, summer is incomplete without a trip to Funtown Splashtown in Saco, Maine.

Over the decades, the park has truly become iconic.

Nearly everyone remembers their first visit to the park, their first ride on the Astrosphere, or their first time driving those gas-powered Grand Prix racecars.

When Does Funtown Splashtown Open For the Season?

According to the park's website, Funtown will open for the season on Saturday, May 24th.  That's the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend.

Because May in Maine is still pretty chilly, only Funtown opens over Memorial Day Weekend.  Splashtown does not open until Saturday, June 14th, when the weather is quite a bit warmer.

The last day of the 2025 season for both Funtown and Splashtown will be Monday, September 1st.

What About Funtown Splashtown 21+ Nights?

Earlier, I mentioned that nearly everyone remembers their first visit to Funtown Splashtown.  They remember how excited they were to enter the park and probably remember which ride was their favorite.  For many, our trips to Funtown Splashtown were some of our best memories.

We all yearn for nostalgia.  That's why so many amusement parks, including Funtown Splashtown, have started doing 'grown up' nights.

Yes, Funtown will be bringing back these epic events in 2025.

While the tickets have not gone on sale, we know that these nights will be on Saturday, July 12th, Saturday, August 2nd, and Saturday, August 23rd.

Of course, it is only January, so these dates may change.
