Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood‘s long-rumored duets album is coming as a holiday record. Brooks first revealed details. Titled Christmas Together, Brooks and Yearwood’s Christmas album will include songs such as ‘Ugly Christmas Sweater,’ ‘Merry Christmas Means I Love You’ and ‘What I’m Thankful For.’ Christmas Together is set for release on Nov. 11.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has selected Johnny Cash as its 2016 Music Masters honoree, and has planned a week’s worth of events, as well as a tribute concert, to honor the Man in Black. The tribute concert scheduled for Oct. 21 at Cleveland, Ohio’s Playhouse Square’s State Theatre. Cash and wife June Carter Cash‘s son John Carter Cash will serve as the event’s executive bandleader.
The Country Music Association has announced the first few performers for the 2016 CMA Awards. Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Maren Morris, Keith Urban and Brad Paisley will all take the stage during the 50th annual awards ceremony. Morris could have a very big night she is also nominated seven times the most out of any nominee this year.
