Hey Maine Here’s Some Country News. Travis Tritt Tweets About Beyoncé at the CMA’s and Charlie Daniels 42nd Annual Volunteer Jam Coming at the End of November
Beyonce’ performance at the 2016 CMA Awards did not sit well with Travis Tritt, and the country singer shared his feelings about the decision on Twitter in the days following the awards show. Tritt said ‘As I see it, country music has appealed to millions for many years. We can stand on our own and don’t need pop artists on our awards shows.’
Charlie Daniels 2016 Volunteer Jam will be the 42nd Volunteer Jam and will be held at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 30; tickets for the event are available through Ticketmaster. Proceeds from Volunteer Jam concerts benefit the Journey Home Project, a non-profit organization co-founded by Daniels and his manager which helps veterans transition after returning home from tours abroad. The Volunteer Jam started in 1974.
Alan Jackson has released a special collection of his gospel tunes for the upcoming holiday season. Titled Precious Memories Collection, the project includes songs from his Precious Memories album from 2006 and 2013’s Precious Memories II, as well as a couple of new originals. The collection is available exclusively at Walmart.
