Hurricane Odile Gives Bachelorette Party Scare
What was supposed to be a fun bachelorette party in Cabo San Lucas, almost turned out to be a nightmare for the group of women celebrating. Hurricane Odile hit the area and the group of eight women was caught in it.
The group, expected to return home Monday, where not heard from through Wednesday as their hotel was partially destroyed. The storm hit on Sunday and the women were expected to leave on Monday but no one heard from them. The mother of one of bridesmaids tried contacting the Red Cross but no one was able to help.
Calls would not go through and flights were being cancelled and there were 30,000 tourists in the same situation. Finally on Thursday relatives confirmed the women were safe and returned home.
