Iconic Hussey’s General Store Sign is Moving

Some may think the most notable Maine sign is the "Maine Welcome Home" sign at the southern border but in reality, Windsor's Hussey's General Store takes the #1 spot for many folks. The sign has been unchanged for decades proving that they truly are a one stop shop carrying items such as guns, wedding gowns, and beer!

You may have noticed Hussey's has had a bit of construction going on with the installation of their brand new gas pumps. Part of this update involved the removal of the iconic "Guns, Wedding Gowns, Cold Beer" sign. Locals and tourists alike noticed that the new gas pumps are up and running but the sign was still missing.

That is, until recently. Hussey's has erected a modernized sign where the old one was located by the intersection of Route 32 and Route 105.

But don't worry! The classic sign WILL BE BACK! The classic sign will be moving to the larger parking lot across the street making it easier to get those Instagram-worthy shots!

Phew! Now about that cold beer...
