Idol Contestant Killed In 23rd Fatal Motorcycle Crash This Year

2019 has been a tragic year on the roads for motorcycles. So far this year there have been 23 fatality accidents. This past weekend, Haley Smith, a contestant on the 11th season of American Idol was killed in a single vehicle accident. Her family says she was a solid driver and believes a deer was involved in the crash according to TMZ.  

At 23 deaths this year, Maine has tied the number of deaths on motorcycles of 2018. According to WGME 2015 was the deadliest year for motorcyclists with 32 confirmed deaths.
