Items People Are Now Prohibited From Bringing to the Windsor Fair in Maine
We are fortunate to have some amazing agricultural fairs in Maine.
Because we have dozens, most people are not more than an hour's drive from at least one great fair. Some of us are lucky enough to be surrounded by great fairs.
For example, here in the Augusta area, we are a short drive from the Monmouth Fair, Farmington Fair, Topsham Fair, Skowhegan State Fair, and Windsor Fair. There are probably more, but we can't really remember them all.
Speaking of the Windsor Fair, it is one of the state's largest and most popular.
The Windsor Fair is the second largest (by acreage) fair in the state, second only to the Fryeburg Fair, and it is attended by tens of thousands of people each year.
In 2025, the fair will run from Saturday, August 23rd through Labor Day Monday.
Highlights from this year's fair include Runnin' Down a Dream (a Tom Petty tribute), Lexi James, truck pulls, two demolition derbies, and the Hell Driver stunt show. On top of that there'll be rides, games, exhibitions, the museum, blacksmith demonstrations, and so much amazing fair food.
As you prepare to go to the fair, there are a few things you need to be aware of. This biggest is that there are certain items that are not allowed on the fairgrounds. We've put together a list of some items not allowed into the Windsor Fair. Keep in mind, though, there may be other items that are prohibited but not on our list. If you are unsure, you can ask at the gate.
