Back in August, the Farmer's Almanac told us that we could expect an early, snowy, cold winter here in the State of Maine.  In fact, the annual publication told us that we should expert our first Nor'Easter in October.

So far, they have been slightly off the mark.  It has been an unseasonably mild fall.  For example, last week, we had several days of almost summer-like weather.  A complete abnormality for the first week of November.

That being said, we did get a significant October storm.  It may not have been an actual Nor'Easter, but it was not pleasant to deal with.  Over the course of several days, we got lots of rain and wind.  It was very similar to the "bomb cyclone" that we got hit with in 2017.

Now, it looks like we are on the verge of getting our first snow storm.

According to Weather.com, the next few days will remain somewhat mild with highs in the upper 50s and 60s.  Then, the temps will start to drop.  By the end of next week, we're going to see more fall-like or winter-like weather.

We are still over a week out, but it is looking like we are going to get our first real taste of snow on Friday, November 18th!

There are still no estimates on totals and, because it looks like the temperatures will remain fairly high, we probably won't see the snow stick around.

We'll keep an eye on the forecast and keep you update as we get closer to next Friday
