Two Maine teens, who allegedly have a history of carjacking, have struck again in Maine's biggest city.

According to an article published by WMTW, Portland police responded to a call for help after two juvenile males allegedly attempted to carjack a 64-year-old woman at knife point in a parking lot off Marginal way on Thursday morning.

Police say that the 64-year-old woman had been robbed by the pair before being forced out of her car. The two juveniles then attempted to steal the car but couldn't figure out how to get it started so they fled on foot.

Police say they searched the area for more than three hours before locating and arresting the boys on Oxford Street in Portland.

WMTW reports that both boys have been charged with felony robbery. Portland Police say they believe the pair is responsible for other car-jackings that have happened recently in the same area.

The two boys were taken to Long Creek Youth Detention Center. Portland Police are asking that anyone with information that may assist should call police at 207-874-8575, or text PPDME and a message to 847411 to submit an anonymous tip.
