ZA Pizza: Where Passion is the Maine Ingredient
Let’s talk about this little spot on Prebble Street in Portland, Maine. Where heart meets Pizza, I mean “ZA.”
We’ve got to tell you why ZA doesn’t just taste good, it feels good. And that is because every single slice comes with deep heart behind it.
Meet Jessica and Brandon, owners of ZA, hey didn’t just wake up one day and decided to open a pizza joint. The story?
It started the way so many incredible food stories do: falling deeply in love while working long shifts in a high-volume Portland restaurant, learning and loving the grind together, and then realizing they were made to create something magical, together.
All in life and in the kitchen.
From there, they took the leap, bet on themselves and started there pizza dynasty.
Together, they started Truckin’ Food a mobile brick oven pizza spot on wheels, which was extremely successful.
From there, they took the big leap of opening a brick and mortar in the city or Portland.
That leap paid off.
At ZA, everything is made from scratch and it shows because Brandon, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America knows what he’s doing. Let’s call him the pizza scientist.
Jessica? Well, she’s the brains and the face. She’s got a great face. Jessica wants to give you the heart, show you the brand, and shape your experience in the best way possible. She shows you that there perfectly crisp Neapolitan-inspired pizza has so much love in it.
And once you stop in once, you’ll be addicted for life to both the food and the people.
And get this, they have trivia nights that are wildly fun and their social media is on fire and will give you a peak into there magical pizza world.
Do yourself a favor, go eat their pie, and you’ll taste the love in every single bite.
