Deck season in Portland, Maine, is officially starting to feel like it's here! Our beloved Portland Lobster Co. (one of my favorite outdoor settings in the summertime), has officially dropped their open date!

According to Portland Old Port, by this Friday, April 26, 2024 at 11 AM, you'll be able to walk onto the dock overlooking the pier in Portland and order your favorite seafood again. Fried scallops? Done. Fish and chips? Also done. Seafood chowder? Amazing.

Known for its commitment to quality and authenticity, this is one of the few establishments on Commercial Street that has earned a reputation as a must-visit destination for locals and those pesky (sorry, I'll say it) tourists. Between Portland Lobster Co. and Luke's Lobster, my friends and I count down the days until we can eat outside on their deck again.

The best part about this little "floating" dock restaurant is when they surprise you with live music on the water. Their picnic tables set the scene if you're a big atmosphere girlie (or dude), while their walk-up to order window serves you beer immediately.

Side note, yes, this is one of the better establishments to grab a lobster roll at in the city, but let's also not forget the fact that they also serve hot dogs. I'll say it. Sometimes as an adult, you just crave a good dog.
