
Maine State Police Make Arrest in Child Exploitation Case
According to a press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety's Shannon Moss, members of the Maine State Police have made an arrest in a Livermore Falls child exploitation case.
The press release explains that a Livermore Falls man is facing serious charges following a month-long investigation involving several law enforcement agencies.
Early this morning, detectives with the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit South arrested 40-year-old Jacob Hiscock at his home in Livermore Falls. He is charged with Sexual Abuse of a Minor and Possession of Sexually Explicit Material.
*NOTE - All suspects are considered innocent until being found guilty in a court of law
According to investigators, this case has been in the works for weeks. It involved a coordinated effort between the Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit, the Sabattus Police Department, the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, and the Maine Warden’s Service. Police say Hiscock was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Androscoggin County Jail.
Detectives are continuing to investigate and believe there could be additional victims or witnesses who have not yet come forward. The Maine State Police are asking for the public’s help.
