Kansas City Royals Look to Replace Friends in Low Places

Since 2008 Garth Brooks’ ‘Friends in Low Places’ has been played during the 6^th inning at Kansas City Royals baseball games. Now, fans at Kauffman Stadium will be asked to vote on a replacement song. The team and stadium decided it’s time for a change.

What they will do is ask people for suggestions on songs via social media. They’ll use 32 songs and use a bracket-style vote format. Garth’s song could be re-nominated and could win as the song used. The winner will be announced on June 7^th.
