Little Caesars Pizza in Augusta Permanently Closed
Looking back over the past year or so it really is sad to reflect on the many businesses and restaurants that have closed in the Augusta area. Some are directly related to Covid-19, others simply could not find or pay staff enough, and yet others were part of corporate downsizing.
A recent addition to that list is Little Caesars Pizza in Augusta on Western Ave.
Being so close to the radio station Little Caesars saw more than it's fair share of business from our station staff over the years but apparently that wasn't enough to keep them afloat any longer.
Rumors were that they were still open part-time. Others lamented that they simply weren't able to find adequate staffing to keep them open enough to turn a profit. Although most likely a combination of reasons caused the closure.
I wanted to be sure this was the case and not simply reduced hours of operation that was the culprit here. So, I stopped by. Judging from the photos I took of everything dismantled inside, and an additional lock on the door with a sign instructing you to call the super intendant if you need access to the building I'm pretty comfortable in saying that Little Caesars in Augusta is sadly no longer.
I also called the store number for a comment and the line is disconnected. Another sign of times, and another lost for the greater Augusta area.
Will you miss Little Caesars? If you really need your fix, you will be happy to know that Waterville, Auburn, and Topsham all have active running stores...Pizza! Pizza!
