Here’s How the Billion Dollar Deal Will Affect Lowe’s in Maine, New Hampshire, & Massachusetts
A major change is coming to Lowe's stores throughout the country.
According to a press release posted on the hardware store chain's website, the company has entered into a $1.325 billion deal to acquire Artisan Design Group.
The press release describes Artisan Design Group (AKA ADG) as a company that handles the design, distribution, and installation services for interior surface finishes, including flooring, cabinets, and countertops. The press release goes on to explain that the company deals with local and national homebuilders and property managers.
Products they offer include hardwood flooring, ceramic tile, unbelievably beautiful countertops, and even window coverings.
The acquisition of Artisan Design Group will allow Lowe's to offer professional builders a host of new products.
The press release explained:
With fiscal 2024 revenue of approximately $1.8 billion, a national network of over 3,200 specialized installers and long-standing relationships with single-family and multifamily homebuilders as well as property managers, ADG will expand Lowe's Pro offering into a new distribution channel within a highly fragmented, approximately $50 billion market.
Lowe's plans to acquire the property using money that the company has on hand. It is expected that the deal will be completed by the end of the second quarter of 2025.
Established in North Carolina in 1921, Lowe's currently has nearly 1,750 locations across the United States.
