The Maine Army and Air National Guard have postponed weekend drills. That comes after learning this week that 406 employees have been furloughed due to the federal government shutdown that started on October 1st.The drill scheduled for this weekend has been postponed.

Out of the 406 Maine Army and Air National Guard members that have been furloughed, 222 are in the Maine Army National Guard and 184 in the Air Guard.

Most of the affected workers are from Camp Keyes in Augusta, the Maine Air National Guard base and the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Bangor.
