Maine Gas Prices Rise Sharply

With many Maine families planning summer road trips to the beach and camp the cost to get there is going up. According to the website gasbuddy.com, the average for a gallon of gas in Maine is now at $3.70 a gallon, that's up over 3 cents a gallon from last week.

The national average is up to $3.65.

South Carolina has the nations lowest average gas price at $3.36 a gallon.

New Hampshire has the lowest average gas prices in New England at $3.61 a gallon and they are the only state in New England below the national average.

The cheapest gas in Maine was found in Norway, Maine with a gallon of gas at $3.52 a gallon.
