Maine Lab Develops COVID-19 Test for Pets

According to WMTW the coronavirus test for pets was created in the Westbrook lab, IDEXX.

IDEXX officials say there is growing evidence that in some cases pets that are living with people that are COVID-19 positive can be at risk of contracting the virus.

The animal test will be available to veterinarians across the Unites States starting next week. The company will begin rolling it out on a global scale in the weeks after.

IDEXX also said they do not expect the veterinarian tests to interfere with the availability of the human tests.
