Maine Man Makes App to ID Ticks

ALL ticks are gross. Some ticks are also dangerous because they carry disease.

Making a positive identification on what tick is on you can be a little difficult, especially if you are all wild eyed and hyperventilating like I am when I see a tick.

BUT there is now an app for that thanks to an Belfast man and his nephew.

Simple to use: Upload a picture. The app recognizes the species and provide information on it and how it could impact you health.

According to Newscenter the app can be found in the Apple App Store. It is currently only compatible with iPhones. It costs $1.99.
