Maine Maple Sunday This Weekend

This Sunday in March is Maine Maple throughout the state. It always lands on the 3^rd Sunday in March and this marks the 34^th annual event. Participating sugarhouses will be open to you to enjoy freshly made maple Syrup and candy, demonstrations and tours.

The maple industry in Maine has grown quite a bit in the past 5 to 6 years. Since 2010 the output of the maple industry in Maine has almost doubled. Last year in 2016 the yield of maple was 675,000 gallons, up from 315,000 gallons in 2010.
