Many of us started our Sunday morning hearing the news that President Donald Trump intended to make a "surprise" visit to Maine.  "Surprise" because, even though we got word of the event, it was not until a few hours before he was scheduled to arrive.

As expected, Air Force One landed at Bangor International Airport.  From there, the President was brought to Treworgy Orchards in Levant.  He gave a speech in front of several hundred people, signed some pumpkins, and went back to Bangor.

In a post on their Facebook page, Treworgy Orchards said:

"Late last night we received a call from the White House asking if President Donald Trump could visit our family farm during a small, unpublicized stop. Each day we aim to make America a little better by practicing radical hospitality, connecting people together, and to the land through agriculture. We extend that to each of our guests regardless of political persuasion or office. And so when someone asks if they can come to the farm, the answer is ‘yes’. This event was not a rally and we are not endorsing any particular candidate, but we are honored to welcome a sitting president into our home."

While many people were thankful that the local business was willing to host President Trump, others took to Facebook to share their disapproval.  Other than concerns over the size of the gathering, many people used the comments section of the above post to take aim at the President's politics and his alleged stance on certain issues.

What are your thoughts?  Do you agree with their decision?
