According to a post from the Wiscasset Maine Police Department on Facebook, an accident occurred late Saturday night that ended up with a car buried inside the entrance of the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.

Reports indicate that the accident happened around 11:40 Saturday night at 35-year-old Kristen Crowley of Wiscasset, was heading southbound along the Gardiner road when she failed to come to a stop at a red light. Following the failure to stop, Crowley then went through the intersection and directly into the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.

After impact, Crowley fled the scene on foot before officers could arrive. Later in the evening Crowley was spotted by Officer Jonathan Barnes as she was on foot and walking on RT 218 nearing the intersection of the West Alna Road.

Crowley was taken to Miles Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. She was also charged with operating under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, aggravated criminal mischief and violating conditions of release.

Crowley had currently been out on bail following her involvement in an armed robbery of Maxwell's Market. Last night's accident remains under investigation and anyone with additional information is asked to contact with Wiscasset Police Department or the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.
