If you have lived in Central Maine very long, there is a good chance you have heard about the North Woods Outlaws.  Based in the Augusta area, they are a country-rap group with a big following.

For the last few years, they have been doing charity events.  Their biggest event is their annual coat drive.

Now, they're hosting a FREE Thanksgiving meal which will be followed by a free concert.

They're calling the event "A Thanksgiving Feast With Friends".  It will feature a traditional Thanksgiving dinner that will be completely free and open to the public.  After the dinner, there'll be musical performances.

The event will take place at the VFW on Leighton Road in Augusta this Saturday, November 19th.  The dinner will be served from 4 to 7 PM.  The concert portion of the evening will be from 7:30 to 9 PM.  The North Woods Outlaws plan to perform.  Additional performers may be announced soon.

For those unfamiliar with the North Woods Outlaws, they perform their unique mix of country infused hip hop.  While they are not all originally from Maine, their music has a uniquely Maine vibe!  They are great entertainers who put on an amazing show.
