A call came into the Federal Aviation Administration in Miami about 1:30pm on Thursday from the pilot of small Piper PA 46 aircraft yelling "Mayday, Mayday, Mayday!" The reason for the panic was he had a passenger fall out of his plane at about 2,000 feet over the ocean.

The pilot said he had a door ajar and the passenger fell out, to which the traffic controller responded, ‘Did you say you had a passenger fall out of your plane?’ The pilot said the passenger opened the backdoor and just fell out.

The U.S. Coast Guard is searching the area and have identified the passenger as 42 year old Geraldo Nales of Key Biscayne, Florida. Police have no evidence of foul play so they are looking into the possibility of a suicide.
