Parts of Maine & New Hampshire Could See Snow Later This Week
Since we have already had several days where the temperatures got into the 80s (lower 90s in some places), most of us were under the impression that we had left winter weather in the rearview.
However, it now looks like we may have been a little premature in our thoughts on this.
No, really!
Some meteorologists are saying that we could see snow in parts of Maine and New Hampshire late Friday night or early Saturday morning. According to meteorologists from WBZ TV in Boston, the weather that will roll into New England on Friday will resemble a Nor'Easter. The weather event is expected to bring lots of wind and rain to the region, especially along the coast.
Definitely not pleasant, but the weather in other parts of New England will probably be a lot worse.
There is a chance that the precipitation rolling into New England on Friday night will not bring rain to the higher elevations in Maine and New Hampshire. Instead, this precipitation will fall as snow. Some areas may get more than just a dusting, too.
The good news is that, as we are continuing to see spring weather during the day, most of the snow that falls will soon melt away.
It is also important to note that, if the temperatures remain warm, even those higher elevations won't be getting snow. Instead, they'll get the rain that the lower elevations can expect.
Hopefully, this will be the last time we talk about snow before November. Or, maybe late October.
Regardless, whatever your plans for the weekend, please be safe!
