An early Thursday morning crash spilled gallons of milk over a Maine roadway.

According to a press release from Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss, the driver of a milk delivery truck lost control of his vehicle, and crashed into a guard rail, which caused the truck to roll over.

The incident happened on I-395 in Bangor at about 6 AM on Thursday morning.

The press release goes on to say:

The ramp is shut down and will remain closed while crews work to clean up the scene. Assisting the Maine State Police is the Bangor Fire Department, MaineDOT and the Department of Environmental Protection. Initial investigation indicates speed was a contributing factor in the crash.

The driver of the truck, 35-year-old Austin Davis of Newburgh was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries he received in the crash.  His condition is not known at this time.
