According to WCAX, Conway NH's Kennett High School plans to hold their class of 2020 graduation at a local ski resort.

Kevin Carpenter, the school's principal, laid out the plans during a recent interview.  He says that students and their families will ride the lift to the summit of Cranmore Mountain, get their diploma, have their picture taken, and then take the lift to another part of the mountain for additional pictures.

In order to maintain social distancing, there will be an empty ski lift chair between each group.  Also, they do intend to have a backup plan in place in case it is raining and for people who really don't want to ride the lift to the summit.

The school's location, Conway, is part of the four season tourist area known as Mount Washington Valley.  You may be familiar with the area as a tax free shopping destination and where Story Land amusement park is located.  But, it is also surrounded by well-known ski areas.  These include Wildcat, Attitash, King Pine, Shawnee Peak, and Cranmore Mountain Resort.

On top of that, the area sits at the base of New England's Mount Washington!

When the pandemic is over, I encourage you to make the trip to Mountain Washington Valley for some shopping, great food, and adventure.
