No More Snow Days: Should School’s Replace Snow Days With Online Classes?
A school district, in South Carolina, is taking away snow days. How can they do that, you ask...snow days will be replaced with online classes. If students don't have internet...that's OK. Here's how it works:
According to Independent Mail:
If there's snow, ice, or anything else that would normally close the school for the day, students will be able to access their assignments via Chromebooks that do not require internet service. If a student is, for some reason, unable to complete the assignments, they will be given a five day grace period
So, if kids do not have internet, there is a solution. I LOVE this alternative. I can't think of any reason why ALL schools, in Maine, shouldn't implement this idea. What do you think?
