According to ESPN.com, auction house Lelands.com sold a Deflategate football for $43,740 on behalf of Laura Nichols, and it's believed to be the only Deflategate ball available for public purchase.

Patriots receiver Bradon LaFell gave Nichols the ball in the third quarter following a touchdown by LeGarrette Blount. The balls where re-inflated to the proper levels for the second half, but the NFL said the ball was the same ball used in the first half.

The nearly $44,000 price seems high for a ball but Mark McGwire's 70th home run baseball sold for $3 million in 1999.
