Today is Presidents Day where we celebrate Washington’s Birthday from the February 22nd. The original plan was to combine Washington’s and Lincolns Birthday and rename it Presidents Day, but that part of the bill in 1968 didn’t pass.

The bill is called the Uniform Holiday’s Bill. Before the bill was passed Americans celebrated both Lincoln’s Birthday (February 12th) and Washington’s Birthday (February 22nd). I remember as a kid having both days off school if they landed in the middle of the week.
