For those who aren't already aware, Naked & Afraid is a show on Discovery that puts two people who are naked, and likely afraid, in the middle of a jungle with nothing but one 'survival tool' each and let's them survive until they can't anymore, or until they make it a full 21 days.
According to information from the Discovery Channel website,
Naked and Afraid is a reality survival series on Discovery that pushes participants to their limits. In each episode, two strangers, typically one man and one woman, are dropped into a remote wilderness location without clothing. In Mike's case, it was the middle of a Philippines jungle.
Their challenge was to survive for 21 days using only their survival skills and one personal item each, such as a fire starter or machete. However, Mike couldn't disclose what their exact items were until after the episode has aired.

Naked & Afraid has certainly evolved since I started watching years ago. Discovery has since introduced multiple spin-offs like Naked and Afraid XL, where groups of experienced survivalists endure extended challenges, and Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing, a competitive format featuring returning participants .
Mike Douglas, founder and operator of Maine Primitive Skills School in Augusta, will be hosting a premier party on Easter Sunday, April 20th, at Brady's Restaurant in Boothbay Harbor. This will be a fun event for the public to come eat, drink and watch Mike make his national television debut!
