January 1st will be the two big games everyone is waiting for as the first ever College National Championship Semi Finals will be played. In the Rose Bowl Oregon will take on Florida State and in the Sugar Bowl, Alabama vs Ohio State.

Three more bowl games are in the books.

Liberty Bowl: Texas A&M (8-5) beat West Virginia (7-6) 45-37. Both offenses were hot in this game combining for 1,001 yards and 82 points. The difference was A&M's QB hitting a 21 yard pass for a touchdown with a little more than 2 minutes left.

Russell Athletic Bowl: Clemson (10-3) took the lead early in this game scoring 17 points in the first quarter. Oklahoma (8-5) had 5 turnovers that included 3 interceptions, one returned for a touchdown. Clemson QB Cole Stoudt completed 26-36 for 319 yards and 4 touchdowns. Clemson 40, Oklahoma 6.

Texas Bowl: The game was never in doubt as Arkansas (7-6) beat Texas (6-7) 31-7. Texas managed only 59 total yards of offense with only 2 rushing yards. Texas' QB had -32 yards rushing. Arkansas was in control of the game from start to finish capping it off with a 1 yard TD run early in the fourth quarter. Arkansas 31, Texas 7.
