In week 5 of college football it looked, for a while, there was going to be a new number one team. In the end the #1 Florida State Seminoles do what number teams do, come from behind to win. With their 56-41 win over North Carolina State, FSU has the nation’s longest winning streak at 20 games

Number’s 2, 3 and 4, Oregon, Alabama and Oklahoma where off this week.

#5 Auburn beat Louisiana Tech 45-17. The Tigers were up 24-3 in the first quarter. Auburn’s QB Nick Marshall threw for three TD’s and ran for 105 yards in the win.

# 6 Texas A & M won in overtime over Arkansas 35-28. A & M tied the score in regulation with 2:08 to go on a 59 yard TD pass and then won in overtime with a 25 yard TD Pass. Arkansas had a last chance in OT but on a 4th down run, Texas A & M stopped them for the win.

# 7 Baylor lead Indiana 35-7 at the half and went on to win 49-28. The Baylor Bears QB Bryce Petty threw three TD’s and 336 yards.

One, slight, upset for the week as #21 Missouri beat #13 South Carolina 21-20. Missouri had only 280 yards in offense but 119 came in their last two drives, both drives resulted in touchdowns.

University of Maine won at Towson University 27-24. The Black Bears lead at the half 20-10 but with 4:16 left to play the Tigers took the lead 24-20. Maine used a 10 play, 60 yard drive capped by a one yard TD pass from Connor Frazier to Zack Vogelei to win it. The Black Bears are 2-2 on the season but 1-0 in conference play.
