Red Barn Restaurant In Augusta Launching A Food Truck
Laura and her team at The Red Barn restaurant in Augusta never cease to amaze us. While the pandemic has been a rollercoaster ride for her business, she has persevered. Despite several temporary closure due to the pandemic, she was still able to open a new location.
Laura and her team continue to do new, exciting, things!
The latest? They are launching a food truck!
According to a post on the popular restaurant's Facebook page, one of the first things they will be doing with the new food truck is doing deliveries to area nursing homes and veterans' homes.
Basically, these deliveries will give those who can't visit her restaurants in person a chance to enjoy the restaurant's great fried chicken, fried seafood, fries, stews, and more.
The post says, in part:
Well the cat is out of the bag! The first thing we will be dong with our food truck is travel to the area nursing homes and Veteran's homes and bring them all complimentary Red Barn. It has been such a long 2 years for all of us. I have been doing deliveries, but have been sad that I couldn't do more. Stay tuned and listen for our "Takin' It To The Streats" theme song! You will hear us before you see us....an adult version of an ice cream truck.
There is still no word on when the truck will launch.
Laura Benedict, and her team, are well known for their charity work. She is particularly well know for her work with veterans' organizations. Honor Flight, for example.
