As I was scrolling through Facebook this morning, this image popped up as a memory.  I did have a vague memory of taking the picture and posting it to social media.  Amid the normal pre-service promotional videos and promotion images, it seemed odd that a random Bible verse was in the rotation.  It really stuck out.

Then, I looked a little closer and actually read the verse.

The verse, which comes from the New Living Translation of the Book of Daniel reads:

The goat charged furiously at the ram and struck him, breaking off both his horns. Now the ram was helpless, and the goat knocked him down and trampled him. No one could rescue the ram from the goat’s power.

So, what was it all about?  Well, a quick Google search reminded me that the New England Patriots played the Rams in Super Bowl 53 on Sunday, February 3rd, 2019.

In the end, the Patriots beat the Los Angeles Rams 13- to 3 to take the Lombardi Trophy.

Clearly, a lot has changed since the Patriots dominated in that game against the Rams, but I have a feeling we are going to see the Pats return to the Super Bowl next year.
