As you probably know, the Greater Augusta Utility District has been struggling with a leaking water valve at Cony Circle for the past few days.  It appears the fix for the issue will come this weekend.

According to the Greater Augusta Utility District Facebook page, one of the problems has been the age of the pipes.  Some pipes are 114 years old.  Because of this, a specialty contractor experienced with pipes / fittings of this age will need to do the repair.

The pavement will be cut on Saturday afternoon and, starting at 5 o'clock on Sunday morning, a specialty contractor will begin repairing the problem.

Their Facebook page details the repair in much greater detail:

Please keep this in mind if you typically travel through Cony Circle on Sundays.
