Rockland's Rock Coast Roller Derby Wants You!

Rock Coast Roller Derby is recruiting new members for the first time in two years! If you have always wanted the thrill and excitement of being a part of a “Jam” here is your chance.

The Rockland-based Rock Coast Roller Derby has been around since 2011, and if you want to be a part of a fun, fast-paced, empowering sport…. Roller derby is it!

No experience needed. This opportunity is open to all genders, 18+. There are several ways to get involved as they are seeking everything from Skaters to Skating Officials, and Non Skating Officials, according to the teams website.

A recruitment day is planned for the Rock Coast Roller Derby on Saturday, Feb 12^th or the 19^th from 10am to 12pm at the Midcoast Athletics Center, located at 1767 Atlantic Hwy, in Warren. At the event you can hang out and meet the team, learn about the league and get a better understanding of the sport of roller derby, you can even work out with them and get into some gear and skates and have some fun!

With Covid in mind, they request that only those who wish to participate attend the event and bring a mask. A few others things to bring along is a water bottle, some workout clothes, sneakers, skates, and protective gear if you have any, if not they do have a limited supply of gear to loan out on a first-come, first-served basis.
