Like many people, I spend a pretty good chunk of my evenings endlessly scrolling through Facebook.  Lately, I've been seeing more Facebook Marketplace posts.

Honestly, they are some of the most interesting posts because you never know what you're going to see.  People sell everything from cars, to ATVs, to prom dresses, to video game consoles, and more on Facebook.  What I saw last night has got to be the strangest thing, though.

I literally scrolled past it, said "what the hell was that?", and scrolled back.

According to the seller, it is an Avatar Reborn doll.  Yeah, I had no idea what that was, either.  Well, that's not entirely true.  I knew that it was supposed to be a doll version of a Na'vi, the aliens from the 2009 movie Avatar.  And, fortunately for me, one of my coworkers knew what Reborn dolls are.

Here's the deal...  According to Wikipedia, the first "reborn" dolls were made in the 1990s.  They are created to be EXTREMELY realistic dolls.  They look and feel like real babies.  Some even have bones!  They are so realistic that they have occasionally been "rescued" by good Samaritans or law enforcement who thought they were real babies left unattended in a car.

The seller said she had ordered a female doll and had been sent a male doll instead.  This is clear because the doll is anatomically correct.  No, really.

If you're interested, she is asking $126 for it.  She just wanted to cover her cost.  Get more details HERE
