West Side High School Principal Akbar Cook noticed many students faced humiliation because they didn't have anything clean to wear. Students would mock others who showed up with stains on their shirt or dirty pants, taking pictures to continue the harassment on social media. It got to the point that the students would rather stay at home than go to school due to the harassment.

So he decided to do something about it and when school returns on September 4th there will be a new laundromat onsite for the students to take full advantage of. On top of the already remarkable generosity of the PSEG foundation, people in the community donated laundry detergent and dryer pads so the students can use the facilities for free.
