Scrabble has introduced 300 new words to the game.

It’s the first time in four years the board game has had a shakeup. Two words that have been added are ‘OK’ and ‘ew’. If those two aren’t strange enough there are other strange words that made the cut.

Words like beatdown, emoji, puggle, twerk, wayback, yowza, facepalm, frowny, zomboid.

According to dailymail.com scrabble players have been waiting for ‘OK’ to added for a long time because two and three letter words are the lifeblood of the game.

Merriam-Webster put out the first official Scrabble dictionary in 1976. Before that, the game's rules called for any desk dictionary to be consulted. Since an official dictionary was created, it has been updated every four to eight years. Now, the official dictionary holds more than 100,000 words.
