This Saturday’s Powerball Jackpot should be around $700 million because there was not a winner for Wednesday's $500 million jackpot. Someone will, eventually, start 2016 out with a bang.

First thing you have to do is 'BUY A TICKET". If you don't play you can't win.

The $700 million Powerball jackpot is the largest lottery prize in U.S. history. The previous high was a Mega Millions jackpot at $656 million in 2012. Three people shared the money, one winner in Kansas, one in Maryland and one in Illinois.

When you spend your $2 on a Powerball ticket your odds of winning are 1 in 292 million. In other words, it’s a long shot.

When picking your numbers random-number computer picking is usually best. About 75% of tickets are quick pick (computer picks) and about 75% of winner come from computer picks.

If you win, how much TAX will you have to pay (you know the government wants their money first). The federal government takes 25% right off the top and if you live in a state that has state taxes, you get hit again with local income tax rates.

If no one wins on Saturday there will be another drawing on Wednesday with an even higher jackpot, and who knows how high that will be. Realistically the jackpot could reach $1 BILLION.
