Unless an agreement is reached, which is looking unlikely, by 7:00 pm tonight (10-4-19) WCSH 6 is set to be removed from the Spectrum cable service. Not only will customers lose the local news programming but also things like 'The Voice', Deal or No Deal and even Sunday Night Football.

Tegna, the parent company of WCSH 6, have been in talks with Spectrum over their carriage agreement. A carriage agreement is the fee worked out that the cable company pays the channel to carry and broadcast its content.

The negotiations between Spectrum and Tegna cover dozens of television stations around the country, according to a Tegna spokeswoman, who said fewer than 40 stations are involved. Tegna owns 62 television stations and four radio stations in the U.S.
