Mom and Dad may remember the days when you would find 25 to 50 cents under your pillow from the tooth fairy, those days are gone.

The average per lost tooth now-a-days is $3.70, a 23 per cent jump from last year. One reason sighted for the jump is that some parents don’t want their kids at the playground to be the one who received the lowest amount. (that’s crazy)

Tooth Fairy money has gone up 42 per cent since 2011 when the payout was $2.60 per tooth. How much kids get per tooth depends on where they live too. Kids in the Northeast receive $4.10 per tooth, in the west and south its $3.70 and in the Midwest its $3.30 per tooth.
