Gregoire said he confronted the people in a white SUV, which was towing the trailer. After exchanging words, they reportedly drove off, so Gregoire gave chase in an 18-wheeler. According to Gregoire, the driver of the SUV pointed a gun at him and then drove off again.
Gerry Gregoire's son, Dylan, reportedly caught up with the SUV, but backed off when a firearm was pointed at him.
When the SUV reached the town of Athens, it slid on fresh snow and rolled over. There were two adults and a 4-month-old child in the vehicle when it rolled over. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The adults were identified as 41-year-old Alexander Wyman, and his wife, 42-year-old Sarah Wyman.
Initially, Alexander Wyman was charged with misdemeanor charges of driving to endanger and endangering the welfare of a child. He was booked at the Somerset County Jail and released on $250 bail.
However, as the full extent of the situation became clear, charges were added.
He was re-arrested on Monday and charged with three counts of criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and one count each of possession of a firearm by a felon, domestic violence reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, and violation of a protective order.
