Two UMaine Baseball Players Drafted

A couple of University of Maine baseball players were selected in the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft.

Shortstop Jeremy Pena (who's father is former big-league star Geronimo Pena) was selected by the Houston Astros in the third round. He was chosen 102nd overall.

According to bangordailynews.com another Black Bear drafted is catcher Chris Bec who was taken by the Toronto Blue Jays in the fifth round.
