Monday, September 16th, was a HARD day in Farmington when an explosion killed a firefighter, injured many, destroyed a building, left many homeless. It is also why having a supply of blood and blood products on the shelves is so important.  Blood and blood products are there for people going through many treatments and medical procedures AND is needed for medical emergencies…like the aftermath of the explosion.

Tragedy also seems to bring out the generous spirit in us. If you would like to do something to give back giving blood is one way to do that.  There is going to be a blood drive at the University of Maine Farmington. Please make an appointment today to donate Wednesday, September 25th, at the Olsen Building on the University of Maine Farmington campus. This blood drive will be open from noon to 5.

The Red Cross says there is only one source of blood and that is a healthy, volunteer donor.  Is that you?  Please help keep the blood supply strong with your donation.

Make an appointment today by visiting RedCrossBlood.org.  Calling 1-800-RED CROSS or downloading the blood donor app.

I just want to say thank you.
