Wings of Freedom Tour of World War ll Airplanes Coming to Auburn-Lewiston Airport
The Wings of Freedom Tour is coming to the Auburn-Lewiston Airport on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (Sept. 27-29).
On hand will be four fully restored World War ll airplanes that will be on display and available for rides.
One hand will be a B-17 Flying Fortress ‘Nine O Nine,’ a B-24 Liberator ‘Witchcraft,’ a B-25 Mitchell ‘Tondelaya’ bomber, and a P-51 Mustang “Toulouse Nuts’ fighter.
The Wings of Freedom Tour pays tribute to World War ll veterans for the courage and services to America.
According to sunjournal.com the cost to check-out the plane inside and out is $15 for adults and $5 for kids under 12. If you want to take a 30 minute flight on a B-17 or B-24 that will cost $450.
