The Top Seven will perform two songs on American Idol and one contestant will be leaving at the end of the show. The theme are American Classics that American Idol fans sent into the show. The performances last were overall good but the highlight was the showdown between contestant Quentin Alexander and judge Harry Connick Jr.

Round One:
1. Tyanna: 'Why Do Fools Fall In Love'. She is vocally solid but she didn't really perform the song. Still at 16-years old, Tyanna is a star in the making. B.

2. Clark: He is the clear front-runner and he shows us why with his version of Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition' and it was phenomenal. See his performance below. A

3. Jax: She takes on Janis Joplin's 'Piece Of My Heart'. Jax has the image, she can sing fairly well but she just lacks the vocal power to do the song justice. C+

4. Nick: He's my dark horse to win the show. He's a pro's pro and ladies seem to like him. Nick does some Tom Petty and it was very good. This was the best he's been all season. B+

5. Quentin: He takes on Lenny Kravitz and it fit him like a glove. Judges call him on his pitch, but I thought the performance was solid. B.

That means the bottom two are Joey and Rayvon (again, his third time in a row in the bottom tow)

6. Joey: My Funny Valentine' She does an okay job with this classic. She just doesn't have the vocal chops to wow us. B-

7. Rayvon: Long Train Runnin' by the Doobie Brothers. His vocals are very good and this was the most stage presence he's shown. B+

Round Two:

1. Clark: Takes on Sinatra's 'Moon River'. He's in a suit, playing piano, this should be a homerun. Instead it ended up a ground rule double. He sang it well but it seems like unless Clark can let loose, he's just a good singer. Still a very good job. B+

2. Tyanna: Proud Mary and she did a great job! She has such great tone and showed off a crazy high-end vocal. A-.

3. Nick: He's takes Billy Joel's 'Only The Good Die Young' and slows it way down. Vocally he is very good, but I didn't care for the arrangement. Nice try. B.

4. Quentin: Sounds Of Silence. I found it ironic that he sang this song after his verbal outburst in round one. He's great on stage but only a decent singer. Still, I find Quentin interesting. B-

5. Jax: Takes on Michael Jackson's 'Beat It' and punks it up. I didn't care for it. The judges seemed to like it. C-

6. Rayvon: Always On My Mind. This was magical. One of the best performances of the night. Will this be enough for Rayvon to win America's save again? A

7. Joey: Somebody To Love by Jefferson Airplane. She breaks out the ukelele and puts her quirky spin on it, I didn't care for it. C-

America's Save went to Rayvon. He got 52% of vote.
