I think the Augusta 6th Grade City Wide Band deserves one heck of a BRAVO!! They performed together, for the first time, at Cony High School last night.  Also, a huge standing 'O' to the music instructor, Ms. Kimble, for teaching these kids (all from 4 different schools) and sharing your passion for music.

The DaPonte String Quartet will perform at Jewett Hall at the University of Maine at Augusta as part of the Concerts at Jewett Series.

Maine T.V. fans and country music fans may be interested to hear that 24 star Keifer Sutherland has gone country. Sutherland just released his first country music video, a song called ‘Not Enough Whiskey’.  

Rick Pinette and the Maine based band Oak where popular in Maine during the 1970s and 80’s. They played many local venues and where often heard on the radio. Pinette passed away on Sunday at the age of 63.

Swedish musician Martin Molin has made an incredible hand-made music box. It’s called The Wintergartan Marble Machine that uses 2,000 marbles that not only plays but is a work of art too.

We now know what is going on.....Augusta Police Department responded to Cony High School for a bomb threat. The threat was communicated through an email to the school. This includes St. Michael school!

Lee Brice is coming in concert at the Augusta Civic Center on Saturday, March 19th. I had a chance to talk to Lee this morning on the Morning Buzz on B98.5.

Here’s drummer, his name is Joey Muha, and decided the children’s song ‘Wheels on The Bus’ needed a little ‘rockin’ out’. So he got behind hi drums and did exactly that.
