Dr. Patrick Drake Is Leaving ‘General Hospital’

Jason Thompson, the actor that has played Dr. Patrick Drake on 'General Hospital' will be leaving the show after a ten year run. He announced his decision to leave on Instagram.

You can read his announcement that he left on Instagram right here. He said it was a difficult decision and he thanked the staff, crew and fans.

This follows the recent good news of Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio) and Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) returning to the show. Also, longtime favorites Fionla Hughes (Anna Devane) and Genie Francis (Laura Spencer) announced that they signed long-term deals to stay on the show.

Right now on 'General Hospital', Dr. Patrick Drake is about to marry Samantha Morgan. We know that Samantha's husband Jason Morgan is still alive and that everyone in town is about to find out.

I am guessing that will lead to his leaving town, perhaps with Robin? Stay tuned.
